It's always difficult to talk about charity and what you have done, when you truly care about a cause, you generally don't expect any merit from this. I wanted to raise-awareness about child abduction, it's not just the high profile cases you hear of, it affects people in the most drastic way not only the physical separation, but the life-long affect even when parents and children are reunited. Wanting to make a difference and console others affected with an issue that I'm really passionate about is so important. It's about sharing with people that there are happy endings and people can go on to live normal lives. Fundraising for charities that are not generally well known, giving some time to help with research on such a complex matter and help and prevention really makes a difference to people. It can give parents who have been alienated from their children, hope. It's also about spreading the word about the few charities there are in the UK who deal with these issues such as PACT and Reunite.
