Simon Wheatcroft

Simon is an ultra marathon runner & he is blind. He inspires people of all walks of life & abilities to lead an active & healthy life.Despite being blind I undertook the challenge of learning to run outdoors alone I then took the self belief and confidence I had achieved through this to begin competing in ultra distance running. In the future I hope to compete in the major ultra distance marathons and not only hold the records for a blind runner in said events but compete against non disabled athletes. Along the way I hope to engage other visually impaired people to take up running and compete in running events around the UK.
