Simon Platt

Simon is one of Britain's top Cross Country skiers. In March this year, his team was placed 15th in the World Ski Championships in Oslo in the 4 x 10km relay and he came 15th in the 1.5km sprint in November 2010. He has also helped re-build the new National Governing Body for Skiing and Snowboarding, after the previous organisation went into administration during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. During this difficult time, when athletes weren't sure of their future, Simon stood out by contributing a lot of time and effort to ensure every Snowsport athlete in every discipline continued to have the opportunity to represent their country in International Ski and Snowboard events. It just shows how passionate he is for not only doing well for himself but for helping and making sure his fellow team mates get the support, which they so truly deserve.
