Robin Moore

Robin has led, run, organized and inspired Kenchels FC, a football team for veterans in south west london for more than 20 years. Without his tireless energy, enthusiasm and selflessness the club would have faded away long ago. Instead it thrives, has a yearly tour that has visited places as diverse as Sarajevo and Boston and runs social events for the wider families. All because of his hard work. Playing alongside Robin for the club over the years has become a very important part of the lives of the many players involved, most of whom might otherwise have given up long ago. He is respected and loved by all of us and his efforts are all the more extraordindary because he suffered the tragic loss of a son in 2006. Robin is one of those unsung heroes of everyday sport who has made a big difference to our lives and we in the 'Chels team can think of no-one more fitting to participate in the carrying of the torch.
