Simon Brocksom

(Walker Morris) Simon is regarded as a pillar of the inner city community in Hyde Park and has been for many years. His commitment is underminished despite working full time and below are the reasons why we feel Simon is a perfect candidate to carry the Olympic Torch. -Captain of the 10th Leeds Boys' Brigade. -Involved in The Boys' Brigade at district level for Yorkshire and Humberside. -President of the Leeds Batallion of the Boys' Brigade. - Youth worker, manager and treasurer of the drop in centre at Hyde Park. These young people are usually excluded from school, unemployed and involved in drugs and/ or crime. -Involved in the Hyde Park Community shop which is a volunteer led charity. -Treasurer of various charities including Hyde Park Methodist Mission Church, Hyde Park Community shop, 10th Leeds Boys' Brigade and assists the 10th Leeds Girls' Brigade. - Takes young people on trips and residentials.
