Shon's nomination story

Shon, a young man who is an insperation to everyone who has ever been so lucky as to cross his path - and to all that live in the Community Shon is an example. Shon suffers from Noonan's Syndrome, a condition associated with heart defect, clotting problems and physical delays and also suffers from epilepsy,. Aug 1993, his parents were told by a consultant in Cardiff that they faced the possibility that Shon may never walk or talk properly., 3yrs later, following intensive physiotherapy exercise, total commitment from Shon and his parents, he was walking and with determination, hard work and support attended mainstream school , he encountered many difficulties but has achieved far beyond anyone's expectations. He is an active member of the Community - attended Sunday School regularly for 10 year, public speaking competitions, drama school and ever plays football ( not well, but adamant that he will play) January this year Shon was a victim of a horrific attack by a group of lads, but to spite the injuries his courage and determination ensures that he carries on. Shon is now 18yrs, completed his A Levels and intends to attend University to study Drama and Theatre studies. He is a charming young man who never complains, lives life to the full, always gives and never expects nothing in retun. I noinate Shon as a torchbearer as I know he will carry out the duty with pride, he is the pefect ambassetr to the local Community and to the London 2012 Olympic.
