Sheila Kemble

14 years ago, Sheila lost a very close friend to Cancer, as a result of the care her friend received from Willen Hospice , she became a passionate fundraiser for them, She has personally raised over £250,000 to date. Willen Hospice is an independently funded hospice that looks after the community in and around Milton Keynes, and has done so for the past 30 years. Sheila has personally funded all the events she has entered, in order to maximise the monies she has raised for Willen, which include: ?3 London Marathons ?The New York Marathon ?Climbed Kilamanjaroo ?Undertaken the 3 Peaks Challenge ?Organised 3 large Fashion Shows in The Stables Theatre ?Holds annual events at her retail Ladies Fashion outlet whereby 20% of the sale proceeds are donated to Willen ?Organised and managed several Golf Days, including finding raffle prizes and Auction prizes for the events ?Commandeered her son's Wedding Marquee so that the day after the wedding she held a Dinner Dance raising £13,500 ?Plus participating in numerous other Willen fundraising events, such as Dragon Boat Racing, local marathons, Midnight walks and many other events Sheila raised 3 children, and is an active grandmother to 5 grand children. I would like to nominate Sheila to carry the Olympic Torch as recognition for everything she has done for Willen in the past and continues to do for the future, she would be so proud to be involved, should she be fortunate to be selected.
