Shane Ransom

Shane has completed a Swimathon for Cancer Research a few years ago and raised over £500 for this charity by swimming 10,400 lengths of Fleming Swimming Pool. He is now running for Diabetes UK the Great South Run (10 mile) which takes place on 30th October 2011. The reason for him sponsoring Diabetes UK is that Shane was told himself diabetic in January 2009 and has done all he can to overcome the issue by getting himself fit by losing over 4 stone in weight by increasing sporting activities such as Running, Swimming and Cycling. Other than his own sporting activities, Shane shows the true meaning of being a freidn and is always there to help by going of his way to help with his knowledge of Car Repairs, DIY and Photography. Running with the Olympic Torch will make Shane very proud of his own achievements as well as always being there to help others.
