Scott Richards

Scott is a scout leader of his local community scout group, an active member of his local school's PTA group, organising various fundraising events for the school and its pupils, and he also chairs his neighbourhood's residents forum, helping create a safer environment for local children to play and socialise in. As well as leading the weekly Friday evening scout meetings for his troup, Scott also organises various trips to scout camps in remote Scotland, Austria and Switzerland, giving scouts from all backgrounds a chance to see parts of the world that otherwise they might not have been able to. He organises regular events for his local school, including a BBQ and fireworks event, utilising contacts he has made with businesses in the local community to raise much needed funds. Scott has helped raise thousands of pounds for his local community over the years, funds that have been used to contribute towards the scout camps and their regular events, as well as raising much needed funds to buy equipment for his local school. The regular events he organises provide a positive focal point for the community, giving parents and children an opportunity to socialise and encouraging local businesses both big and small to contribute.
