Scott's nomination story

In 2008 Scott ran the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon and raised £848 for RNIB. He then went on to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010 for Bowel Cancer UK, raising a massive £4,445! He most recently ran the Edinburgh Marathon in 2011 for the charity BLISS, pulling together a fantastic sum of £1,805. He is dedicated to each and every charitable project he takes on, donating his time and efforts into securing donations from friends, relatives and local businesses and through small fundraising events he has single handedly raised a total £7171 for undeniably great causes. Aside from this, he was heavily involved in the organisation of a football fundraising weekend in July 2011 for Haven House Children's Hospice. At 26, Scott is an incredibly inspiring person. To be involved in the generation of so much charitable giving to both local and national causes is something worth shouting about!
