Sarah is an inspirational academic and teacher. Even though she has a full time commitment to her research and teaching, she still finds time to compete in the world's toughest triathlon competitions, such as the Ironman UK Triathlon. Sarah has competed in the Ultraman Canada Championships. Within this competition she was the first ever person from Wales to represent the UK in its 25 year history. She ran 84 km, cycled 418 km and swam 10 km in aid of Dolen Cymru. Dolen Cymru is a charity dedicated to creating life changing links between Wales and Lesotho in fields of education, health, governance and civil society. She trained tirelessly to raise money for this worthy cause. Her commitment to sport is infectious. She is an exceptional role model for her students. She would be the ideal candidate to carry the Olympic Torch.
