Sarah is an aerobics instructor for Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness clubs. She has lost 4 stone and now inspires others to lead a fitter and healthier life. In Jan 2009 she had complications with Colitis leading to major bowel surgery which left her needing a colostomy bag. After 6 months recovery she returned to teaching her 5 classes a week, all with her colostomy bag. In her personal life she went through a separation from her husband but still continued teaching her classes despite her personal and health circumstances and always with a smile on her face. Many of her members did not know about her situation, as she remained professional and positive at all times; those who did find out had even greater respect and admiration for her. Sarah makes a real difference to the members in her class as she understands their battle with weight loss and encourages them to make a difference in their own lives. She has helped with local charity events including the Race for Life warm up for Cancer Research, Charity Balls for the local hospice and sponsored walks for the British Heart foundation. She has shown she is a team player by working with others on these charity events and being an integral part of her team at work. Sarah has many friends who have stood by her during a difficult time but likewise Sarah has supported her friends through their own tough times including marital break ups and bereavements. Sarah would be an inspirational torchbearer and would make all who know her very proud!
