Sarah's nomination story

Following the sudden death of her brother Sarah set up the Sudden Death Support Association a registered national bereavement charity and helped over 3000 people in 17 years. Locally Sarah was voluntary secretary for Swallowfield Toddlers Group for 6 years and voluntary Treasurer for Swallowfield Pre-school for 3 years and still helps at their 2 jumble sales every year. She worked tirelessly for the PTA at Farley Hill School for 7 years including chairman for 1 year and has run the village fireworks display for 5 years which 2000 people attend and the school fete for 5 years. PTA raised over £100,000 in that 7 years Sarah has run a charity ball for last 3 years, this year supporting Alabare, Macmillan Cancer, Great Ormond Street, Holme Grange School. Sarah also manages to run 'Race for Life' annually raising money for Breast Cancer
