Sarah's nomination story

Sarah has given up her Saturday and Sunday mornings for the the past 10 years teaching young children, many with disabilities and behavioural problems, how to swim. When she's not teaching, she's safeguarding them using her lifeguarding and qualification to supervise children's visits to local reservoir, swimming parties and to marshal charity swimathons. She has also found time to run the Race for Life for the last 5 consecutive years raising over £2000 for Cancer Research UK along the way and this year she will be running her first half marathon for our local Hospice. Sarah's devotion and determination to make a difference where she can is not confined to her charitable works, but shines through her professional life as well.
