Sam Rowlett

My son Sam is 12 years old and is always trying to help other people. Despite having Aspergers Syndrome, Sam always tries his best and is in the top set in Science and P. E.. Recently, on holiday, Sam rescued an 8 year old girl from some boys who were trying to beat her up, he locked her in the tennis courts and faced up to the boys telling them to hit him instead (the girl's Dad came along and stopped this from happening). Up until last week I was pregnant, unfortunately I lost the baby and although Sam is upset he has helped me. He made his and his sister's packed lunches and emptied the cat litter tray whilst I was pregnant and has carried on doing this. Sam loves sports and feels that it would be a great honour to be an Olympic torch bearer
