Samuel Berhanu

Samuel played a key role at Newham Sixth Form College promoting the Olympic and Paralympic Games and their Values. He took a lead role in organising 'Get Active and Arty Week' which was a week long event inspired by London 2012. He was awarded an Inspire Mark for this project. He is the current Student Union President. He has helped organise charity events and raised money for Water Aid and Richard House Hospice. He's an integral member of the college basketball and rugby teams. Samuel has recently completed his Level 1 basketball coaching qualification and volunteers with Newham All Star Sports Academy. Samuel has also volunteered at the Newham General hospital and at Helping Hands where he assists the elderly with activities. He also sits on the Newham Youth Council where he is involved in organising events for youth in the borough with the aim of building and bringing the community together.
