Sam Starvis

Sam has been an active sports player for many years. She has volunteered as a hockey coach, captain and match secreatary for the past 3 years for Warwick Hockey Club. She run the London Marathon in Aid of the stroke association after her uncle passed away and has now continued to run and join a club. Sam is also an inspiration sport and excercise science lecturer at Warwickshire College and has got many students involved in sports particiaption and volunteering. Sam has also loved her sport and involement in sport whether it be playing, coaching or volunteering, for her to carrying the torch would be sport giving something back to someone who inspires people everyday of the week. During the college athletics day Sam took it upon herslef to work with the students with disabilities. I strongly believe that this would be an excellent achievement for someone in sport and education.
