Saffron is a very talented young lady. She has worked hard in all that she has done at school and beyond. She is due to gain some fabulous GCSE exam grades but has mixed this with an active role in the wider life of the school. She has been a school and House sports captain, involving students in competitions within the school structure. Saffron has also taken part in the Junior Sports Leader award scheme, supporting primary sports development over the past three years.
It is ion the world of ice hockey that Saffron has excelled. At the age of just sixteen she participated for Great Britain in the women's world championships. She is the youngest ever player to represent the team and played in all of their games in the tournament. Not only was this great honour bestowed on her but she was voted players player and supporters' player in the tournament. She also was voted GB player of the tournament by other sides that they competed against.
Despite the fact that she competes on a weekly basis for the Telford men's team, Saffron has never let this affect her studies. She travels and trains extensively, going on camps to exploit and develop her skills still further. She is a great team player, modest despite her great achievements. She has played and gained National honours for the past 3 years. CR
