Sacha's nomination story

I nominate Sacha because she helps all ranges of people from 4yrs to 90. She makes a difference to their lives through understanding and respecting each person as an individual and she loves her job. Along with being a mum of 2, Sacha is a gym instructor and Head Athletics coach at Chelmsford Sport & Athletic Centre. She holds a circuit class & a ladies morning class. She coaches children from 4 to 19 years. She coaches disability Athletics every week and coaches young adults from the further education depart of Columbus School & College. She works for the sports development unit coaching The Bodycare Roadshow - a 5 week course for children in years 2, 5&6. The roadshow teaches children about being healthy through fitness & having a healthy lifestyle which includes diet, hygiene, sleep & being active. She coaches after school athletics clubs. She works with older adults where she leads a Multi Active class which is a range of activities including Otago, boccia,Badminton,bowls,short tennis & table tennis. She goes to sheltered accomm and teaches Otago - the ages of the adults are into their 90s. She ran the Brighton Marathon this year in April.It had been a life long ambition after running the London mini Marathon when she was about 13. She raised around £900 for the Columbus School & College where she works with children who have severe disabilities of all ranges. It was the ideal cause and something close to her heart. Sacha would be so proud to carry the Olympic Torch.
