Sacha Jones

Sacha has been an assistant dance teacher at Barton School of Dance and Drama for the last 2 years and in that time has given up 2 nights every week to teach. She has also spent the last 2 years holding a 5x60 disco dance session on a Monday night for years 7-11, and intends for the group to perform around March/April 2012 at the Galeri, Caernarfon in an annual dance show for all schools on Anglesey and in Gwynedd.. She has been volunteering in the Children of Benllech Pantomime Group for 12 years, giving up 2 nights and a Sunday afternoon a week every year from September-December, and in the 2011 production she was the choreographer for the group where she was teaching children aged 6-13 dances, ready to perform in the 8 shows at the end of November/beginning of December.. Also, from March-July 2011 she spent Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons volunteering in the musical theatre group Show-On, choreographing dances ready for them to perform in their shows in July.. Sacha has also helped out with athletics, gymnastics, table tennis and netball practises, giving up lunchtimes over the last 2 years and spent a day in September 2011 volunteering at the Commonwealth Mountain and Ultra Distance Championships, helping out with the various intermediate and junior events held on the day. . Sacha has recently won an award in the annual Anglesey Sports Awards, where she was given the Young Volunteer of the Year award.
