Ryan's nomination story

I am nominating Ryan Walsh to become a torch bearer at the Olympic games because I feel he is an inspirational young man. At such a young age, Ryan has achieved so much. He is currently completing his A Levels where he hopes to achieve high grades in order to fulfil his ambition of becoming a doctor. Not only is Ryan a high achiever academically, he is also a great sportsman. For the last two years Ryan has been World Champion Kick Boxer. He spends his free time with his local Kickboxing club, coaching younger members. Ryan is also completing his Duke of Edinburgh Award. Ryan is a valued member of the South Armagh Youth Forum, where he represents the views of young people across South Armagh at a community and Council level. Ryan also volunteers his time in helping out local youth projects using relaxation methods to promote positive mental health among young people. Ryan has a great positive attitude, his personality is infectious, he is very popular among his peers. He is a great team player and seeks to ensure no one is left out. Anything Ryan sets his mind to he puts his heart and soul into. I feel Ryan would truly deserve the opportunity to have his achievements recognised and represent the young people of his community by carrying the Olympic torch.
