Ryan's nomination story

Ryan Richardson joined Cramlington Table Tennis Club in the summer of 2005 at the age of 11, already showing excellent eye to ball co-ordination. In February 2006 he played his first match in Division 4 of the Northumbria League and has competed in this league ever since. From the age of 15 has been playing in the Premier Division of the League. He has competed in local and national competitions and represented the County and the League at Cadet, Junior and Senior level. At the Northumberland Tournament he took the Cadets title in 2008 and 2009 and the Juniors title in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Unlike many younger players Ryan does not shy away from helping to put up and put away tables and other equipment at each club session. Ryan has qualified as a UKCC Level 1 TT coach and helps at his school and the Club. Ryan is talented, modest, level headed and above all a role model for younger players who have been inspired and motivated by him to the extent that the Club now has a number of emerging talented cadet players. Ryan is nominated for his valuable contribution to Table Tennis at local level.
