As a school we `Work towards Excellence` and Ryan Elliot epitomizes this. He is a boy with great integrity and holds the respect of everybody in the school. Younger age groups look up to him, his peers and friends admire him, and the staff members at Seaton Sluice Middle School wish more were like him as he is a great role model for his classmates. Ryan recently took on the role of 'coach' for the year 6 football team and helped lead them to the County Finals. The teacher who took the group said: "Ryan was an absolutely amazing coach, we couldn't have done it without him" and this was echoed by the players. Ryan was born with only one kidney but is aware that there are many people with a disability who have excelled in sport before and therefore never misses an opportunity to take part in sport and is a fantastic competitor. Ryan has recently been inspired by the Games and the Olympic Values and as a result has volunteered to help organize our school's 'Sport Relief Mile 2012' event, which demonstrates great courage and determination as we hope to have over 300 people run a mile for charity.. . .
