Ruth's nomination story

In recognition of the huge amount of charity work Ruth has done throughout her life. Not only has she helped hundreds of people and families, but she has also been a natural leader and an inspiring role model to others. Despite battling against and overcoming cancer twice she has cooked weekly lunches for a large group of OAPs, worked in a charity shop, supported at a contact centre, and set up various clubs and groups. She has been dedicated to supporting many facets of the community, including the youth and vulnerable people. She always works very hard behind the scenes, always giving as much as possible, doing things to the best of her ability. She has the ability to make lots of people happy and empathizes whatever their situation. She makes things special and gives people the chance to grow in confidence. Ruth has made a massive difference to many lives.
