Roy Guy has been involved in sport all his life, from playing as a young man to wearing the Olympic Torch on his chest for 37 years as a Physical Education Instructor in Her Majesty's Prison Service. He has inspired many young footballers by running local soccer schools and many local football teams as well as inspiring his own four children to strive for their goals in all areas of their lives. His dedication to his career over its 37 years has recently been rewarded where on his retirement he was awarded the Imperial Service Medal. He has instructed many offenders to achieve qualifcations, while serving their sentences that could help them improve their lives. In his retirement he now volunteers at a local primary school to help out with all areas of sport and fund raising. He has always worn the Olympic Flame on his chest with pride.
