Ron Nicholls

My husband Ron is 57 and has been running for 20 years. He has run the London Marathon 11 times and also New York, Dublin, Edinburgh, Snowdon and lots of others. He has always run for charity and has raised I would say all in all £10,000. The main charity that he has raised funds for is Breakthough Breast cancer, raising £5000 alone at the New York Marathon. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997 which obvioulsy inspired him. About this time Breakhrough was just getting started and we were invited to the opening in London of the new centre. As you can see I am still here and that is thanks to the research of the Breast cancer charities, to which Ron's money was donated. He is also very patriotic and would consider helping to carry the olympic torch an honour.
