Rodolfo Sebastian Carlos

Rodolfo Carlos has been a member of the team for nearly 3 years. He is a champion of spirit and a pleasure to be around. His personality is always positive and he is always willing to help on any project needed. It was a massive surprise to me therefore to learn recently that he was survivor of Thyroid Cancer. Struck at an early age, he has spent the past three years battling the cancer through progressive treatment, struggling significantly with weight gain as a result of the surgery and medication, only to persevere and overcome. To build back his athletic ability and build to a place where his physical state is better than it has ever been. Within a few months Rodolfo is seeking to compete in the Masters Division in Olympic Weightlifting. A truly outstanding achievement and well worthy of recognition. Moreover, to do all of this without once sharing the news of the cancer, speaks volumes about the strong personality he has.
