Rodney Pattisson MBE is a double Gold Olympic medallist in Sailing. He won in the Flying Dutchman class at the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games and the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Rodney also won a silver medal at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games in the same class. Rodney became Great Britain's most successful Olympic yachtsman until Ben Ainsley overtook him in 2008. Rodney has been a true inspiration within the Sailing fraternity and has inspired many budding sails to reach their dreams. Rodney has also been elected to both the Sailing Hall of Fame and the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
