At christmas in the snow, Robin regularly run the 20 mile round trip from home so he was able to work, on one occasion staying over night in the store so able to work the next day. This he did for no extra pay as salaried. He regularly runs marathons and ultra marathons across the world for charity and for pleasure using his holidays to complete them. He has faced severe accidents and an armed robbery whilst at work yet still arrived for work the next day. He has worked for the Co-op for 37 years, not taking a day off sick since 1978. His attitude and commitment to his job and running makes him a perfect candidate to carry the olympic torch.
