Robert's nomination story

Rob is a Lincolnshire Shot Putter. In his first full winter's training he began the year well and was selected to represent England U20s in the Celtic International which he won in a new personal best throw. He followed this up with an excellent win in the England open Indoor Championships despite being ranked second going into the competition again with a new personal best. He also won a bronze medal in the British Universities Indoor and Outdoor Championships. His performances with the senior shot resulted in him being selected for the Great Britain Juniors Team for the Loughborough International. Robert holds the Lincolnshire County shot put record, currently 17.70m and won the trophy for the best performance at the County Champtionships this year. He is also the Northern Indoor and Outdoor Champion. He finished runner up at the England Championships in June. His is a very focussed athlete who studies the event and trains hard. His is a good ambassador for the sport and has been honoured to present the trophies at the South Lincolnshire Athletics Championships and two school sports days this year. He is inspirational and an excellent role model for young people with aspirations of becoming a successful sports person. This is why I'm nominating Rob.In +'2010 after' his...
