because he is an inspiration. At 75 he is still a very keen club runner. he leaves us all trailing and is there rain and shineNow that I am in my mid seventies my main sporting activity is long distance running. At my local club I organise the different routes for the members. There is a great range of ages and abilities and so the routes that I organise are such that we all start together but there are added loops for the fitter and faster runners with the aim of all finishing together. This helps to create a good team spirit among all the runners even those of modest abilities and fitness. As the oldest person within the group it is a great pleasure and privilege to continue to take part and to encourage others to discover the joy of running. I am fortunate to remain healthy and fit and plan to continue with my active participation in the club.
