Robert's nomination story

When Robert first came to live in Norwich, he cared for my mother and father for nerly 20 years until they died in there 90+. This he did for my family with out pay, but with great care and compassion. He took them out for days, hospitals and to family. Robert never asked for anything, but helped my parents have quality and independent lives. After they died he gave up a job as second chef to work as a chef at a homeless charity(st Martins Housing Trust) at (now) Highwater House. A job that he truely loves. He has also trained to help people with their Hearing Aids. Last year a colleague of his found herself and her two children homeless while she was going through a messy break up. Robert let her have his house for 7 months while she found a home for herself and children. Robert never asks for anything and is always helping others . Robert servived a fall from a big wheel when he was 8, it has left him hard of hearing, and with learning and physical damage. He never dwells on his own problems, but believes that life is for living and we should all care for each other. Robert is now 46 years old . Robert has had to overcome so many thing in life , but dedecated his life to help other. What he does may seem small but very big to anyone he come in contact with.
