Rob works as an advanced nurse practitioner in the A&E department of a hospital. He's a great colleague - working hard in a stressful role whilst managing to boost the morale of those around him with his sense of humour. He's inspirational in his generosity with his spare time as he regularly spends time off helping to teach doctors and nurses. He also volunteers his time to work to tackle the problem of knife crime in Liverpool by visiting schools and youth groups to speak to young people about the lasting consequences of knife attacks, which initiative has coincided with a reduction in such incidents in the city - I like to think he's making a difference. Rob's a keen runner and footballer himself and recently raised £,8500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by running the Marathon des Sables, a 150 mile endurance race across the Sahara Desert. I think he's the kind of person you're looking for.
