Robert Dryer

Rob organizes and promotes a pram race annually in Bolney to raise money for charity. This event celebrated its 25th year this year and raised £7350 for local charities. Rob organised local press and television coverage of the event and the monies raised went to fund a rapid response motorcycle to deliver blood supplies in an emergency. Rob is very proud of the event and the way it incorporates the whole local community, he has introduced children and ladies races during the day and encourages fancy dress and themes to keep the event fresh each year. This year he engaged a team from the Bank to take part and has already got two further teams from us for next year. Rob has seen the event grow into a family day out with live music and food laid on to keep people motivated and entertained. The day now incorporates other, smaller fund raising activities like raffles to maximize fund raising. Rob raised over £7000 pounds from this years event and has set himself a target of over £10000 for 2012.
