Rob Downs

Robert set up the Bramhall Park Run 3years ago now there are 350 runners taking part each Saturday at 9am.He sets up the course at 7.30am and oversees the web pages.He is there for everyone. He was awarded Stockport Sports Personality of the year 2009 .He was chosen to represent the Event Directors on the parkrun board for two years commencing late 2010. Rob's involvement with parkrun began with the start of Bramhall but has extended to supporting many new events including the other Manchester based events.. He has run the London Marathon and many other marathons and half marathons .He has encouraged his employees and family to run supporting them fully. He is a quiet kind helpful and generous to others. He is a man worthy of serious consideration for this honour who would be deligted and humbled by the honour of carrying the Olympic torch
