Robert's nomination story

Robert is a disabled young man aged 15, he has a condition call achondroplasia, which means he is a dwarf, he suffers with spinal problems spinal stenosis which causes numbness in his legs and pain in his legs and lower back. He also has learning problems. But will not let anything stop him from taking part in sports. He is a national swimmer with many medals to his name, he is also a national athlete. He is ranked 5th in his category for shot and 7th for discis in the country. He was runner up in the Derbyhire Sports Awards last year, and hopes to make it all the way this year. His step father has been having treatment for cancer going to London every 2 weeks for chemo, so Roberts life has been very up and down for the last 6 months. He has remained happy and helpful and still made training. He is an inspiration to everyone.
