Rob Smart

Having represented Guernsey at numerous sports it was in his early 20s Rob discovered his true passion-cycling.An extremely talented all-round cyclist,but particularly mountain biking,has meant Rob represented Guernsey at Island, National & Commonwealth Games level.Having set up the local Go Ride Cycling Scheme,he has managed it for more than 10 years,enabling 5-12 year olds to develop cycling skills in safe,controlled environments,encouraging them to begin racing-developing the future of the Club.As a qualified cycling coach,Rob trains individuals who have gone on to participate in Island & Commonwealth Games.Rob was team manager at the Delhi Commonwealth Games ,showing true dedication to the development of others when unable to participate himself.Rob is a highly respected member of the GVC,who gives freely of his time to share his passion.A true team player & an inspiration to others.
