I am very honoured to be nominated as an Olympic torch bearer it is a once I a life time event, The Olympics will provide a sporting Legacy for young people all over the country. I think it is very important that kids should get the opportunity to be involved in sport, My son and I have been involved with our local rugby club for the last 15 years which has a allowed me to be part of a fanatic journey watching him grow from a boy to a man, In 2003 we under took a massive fund raising campaign to raise money to take 24 young boys from a deprived part of the north east to play rugby in America, after 12 months of bag packing, sponsored bike rides, pledge events and support from local businesses as well as my own company, the dream came true, this has inspired me to continue and help in grass roots sport,
