Rich's nomination story

In September 2009, Rich, my elder brother weighed 435 lbs, and his happiness was at its lowest. Today, he weighs 227lbs and describes life as being "awesome!" Rich started running, he began the C25K programme, and in May 2011 I cheered him on at the Sheffield Half Marathon. Amazing. I experienced, for the first time in my life, uncontrollable tears of pride. As a result, I've started running. I am currently running 25 minutes non stop! I've never been able to do that! Unbelievably, I shall be doing the Bath Half Marathon in March 2011. Really? Can I actually do that? Then I think of Rich. People marvel when they hear his story, they gasp when they see old pictures of him and they describe what he as done as 'unreal'. It is very much real; he inspires people to believe that you really can do anything, and be anyone.
