Andrew always gives 110% in all that he does whether that be in business, sport or play. At nearly 70 years of age he continues to be an inspiration running his family business that has progressed since 1863 from it's original roots in Norwich, to a successful national photography company. He believes firmly that the principles of good sportsmanship, sense of fair play and respect for fellow athletes is developed through the Olympic movement and has always been a dedicated follower of the games since his first attendance in Rome in 1960. In 1992 Andrew was chosen to receive the prestigious honour of becoming the British Olympic Association official photographer in Barcelona and then later in Atlanta. This was a dream come true after injury had prevented his own ongoing competitive participation. Avidly he has never missed a 100m final since 1988 and his following also reached the level of bidding at a charity auction to be able to have lunch with Lord Sebastian Coe (no relation!) at the House of Lords, who in his opinion is one of the greatest runners of all time. In addition to this he also bid for a training session with Daley Thompson which he donated to a national athletics publication for a competition and enabled a young athlete and their decathlon club to fulfil their dreams, even paying extra for them to have longer with Daley. This is a man who has been rooted in Olympic history and would be truly proud and honoured to bear the torch in the city of Norwich.
