Richard Brabben

On behalf on my wife, 3 sons and many other extremely appreciative families in Lowestoft I would like to recommend Richard Brabben, Leader of the 14th Lowestoft Scout group as an Olympic Torch bearer. Richard (Skip) is in charge of the most easterly scout pack in England and has been involved with the group for over 30 years, having previously attended as a cub and scout. Richards's commitment and dedication, alongside that of other leaders in the 14th Lowestoft Beaver, Cub and Scout group has had an enormous impact on the lives of literally thousands of local youngsters in promoting the benefits and values of scouting. He gives up his time week after week, year on year and is currently away with the scouts in Cornwall on their annual camp. With 2012 being the groups 75th anniversary, this honour would be a wonderful and fitting tribute to Richard, the pack and the great work they do.
