Rebecca Willison

On arrival in Loughborough Becca began volunteering. For the last 2 years she has overseen the running of 7 projects including sports coaching in primary and secondary schools, Action Fitness in which volunteers provide light exercise routines for the elderly and sports mentoring or In Tandem bike rides for adults with disabilities. She recruited over 150 student volunteers to help all members of the community get involved with sport. On top of this she single-handedly established Get Set projects in 10 local schools, getting them registered with the Get Set network and trained up a team of 50 volunteers to deliver the weekly sessions. She also organises big sports events with local schools involving up to 200 children at a time. The best thing about Becca is that she does it because she enjoys it and because so many people benefit from the work she does.
