Lloyds TSB, proud Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, has selected pupils from Rhyl School to be Olympic Torchbearers as part of the Flame Followers programme. . . Rhyl School have used the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to raise awareness of the Olympic values. Rhyl High School always thrives with sports and the pupils deserve to carry the torch. Rhyl School have a number of pupils who have achieved individual success in sports reaching international standard. As well as individual success, pupils have gone on to coaching their peers in a number of sports including badminton. The school encourages this via the Sports Leader qualification, promoting coaching and development within the school.
