Rebecca became aware several years ago of 'Happy Child' , a charity which helps sexually abused and deprived childrewn taking them on holiday - giving them some happy memories in an otherwise bleak childhood. Rebecca volunteered to assist with these holidays and, as a result of meeting these amazing children, decided to run a marathon to raise money for this charity, despite sufferring from a muscle disability called Distoner. Rebecca has run every London Marathon since 2003 to raise money for the PSP Association, as illness similar to Motor Neuron Disease, raising £7,998.85. This year Rebecca raised £1,775.00. Rebecca is also an Assistant Scout Leader too. Her father died od a brain disease, her niece has special needs and Rebecca's disease is also brain related. Rebecca would be humbled, honoured and proud to run with the Olympic Flame - a dream come true!
