Rachael's nomination story

Rachael and her mother Sarah both work within the automotive industry and are long time supporters of BEN. They decided to take a challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, paying for themselves, so that every penny of their £10,000 target went straight to BEN to support the work we do. During their months of gruelling training, not only to prepare themselves physically, but also to deal with the altitude, they were busily working towards their fundraising target, but soon realised that a £10,000 target was not challenging enough and decided to increase their target to £30,000. In the end, thanks to their belief in BEN's work, they managed to raise a staggering £42,629 whilst promoting the work of BEN within a number of automotive trade press publication, spreading the word that BEN is their charity and we are here to support them in their time of need.
