Rachael's nomination story

Rachael is an amazing girl, who has overcome a spinal disability to succeed in an array of fantastic achievements. She has tackled bullying head on, particularly coming to the rescue of friends suffering from the effects of bullying, showing respect and loyalty, and is now a 'Diana Anti-Bullying Ambassador' and she continues to play a fundamental role in The King Edward VI School Morpeth's nationally and internationally award winning Student Voice, Leadership & Enrichment Programme. Rachael is always willing to help students and school staff, and enthusiastically participates in as much school life as possible, as well as beyond the school gates, regardless of her disability. Rachael really is an inspirational role model for young people and adults alike, and thoroughly deserves to be a Torch Bearer in the forthcoming Olympic Games.
