Preston Baynham-hughes

If ever there was a person who represents a walking definition of the phrase "above and beyond the call of duty", Preston is it! He devoted in excess of 40 years service to our school and its local community, as PE teacher, Head of PE, Head of Year and Deputy Head. His personality, enthusiasm and his skill has touched the lives of thousands of young people in our community. Many, many past students have tales to tell about how Preston has inspired them, enthused them, set the highest of examples to them, how he has solved problems for them and taught them skilfully how to solve problems for themselves. Preston loves sport and has spent his whole working life showing that love of sport with young people and generating in them a real passion or sport. He has been a torchbearer for 4 decades. It would be so fitting an accolade to a career of such dedication to allow Preston to bear this particular torch!!
