Phil has just recently retired from the Thames Valley Police. He has lived in the village for 26 years. When he first took over the rural beat in East Ilsley he soon realised that there was very little for the teenagers in the village to do. He therefore started a under 15's football team and commited many hours to the training and fundraising for kit. More recently Phil has set up a recreation ground commitee to fundraise (with help from government grants) a complete new set of play equpment and fencing to replace the 30 year old play equipment, this has delighted the youngsters of the village. Phil is also a East Ilsley Sheep Fair commitee member and runs the bar at our annual fair, any profits made from the fair are given back to varous village charities. This year the under 5's group, St. Marys church, over 60's evergreens and the Ilsleys primary school all benefited.
