A keen, competing athlete who lost interest in athletics at 14 after the death of her father, the driving force behind her. At 28, visited the local athletics club not to compete but to get fit and rediscovered her love of the track Started competing again last year and, as the oldest member of the track team, is seen as a 'big sister' figure by the other team members.

Was selected to take part and represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and used her holiday entitlement for the year attending boto camps to prepare for the sport and dance routines

Currently ranked 11th in her age group in Scotland for running the 400 metres in 60 seconds and is aiming to break the top ten, by running the 400m in under 60 seconds, with plans to compete in an 800 metre event and smash her personal best in that race too
