Phil's nomination story

Phil became involved in the Bridgnorth Rowing Club 3 years ago. In this time he has completed many races and also the London Head of the River, which was a huge achievement for him, as he suffered a bad accident in his early twenties where one of his legs was broken in multiple places. Each year he raises thousands of pounds of sponsorship for the club, which helps the club afford new equipment and run annual events. Phil has also been involved in recruiting new members to the club to ensure its survival and the Club now has a thriving mix of rowers of all ages and abilities. Each year the Club runs a fun regatta, which teaches teams of non rowers how to row and race. He has spent hours coaching teams in his spare time and last year his ladies team of accountants won. Hes a real team member and is always first to help out whether its coaching, fund raising or event.
